Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before submitting an enquiry or arranging residential waterproofing services with SR Sealworks.
1. About Our Services
SR Sealworks provides residential waterproofing services for bathrooms, shower areas and other moisture-prone surfaces. Services may include shower wall waterproofing, bathroom floor waterproofing, shower floor and wall junction sealing, pipe penetration sealing and localised membrane repairs.
The availability and suitability of a particular service depend on the property’s condition, the accessibility of the working area and the requirements of the project.
2. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date. Service descriptions, example prices and other website content are provided for general guidance and do not automatically constitute a binding offer.
Images and illustrations may be used to demonstrate service types or typical working areas. They should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a particular result or as evidence of work completed at a specific property.
3. Enquiries and Appointments
Submitting an enquiry or appointment request does not automatically confirm a booking or create an obligation for either party to proceed with the work.
After receiving your enquiry, we may contact you to discuss the project, request further information or photographs, assess the working area and establish whether a site visit is required.
An appointment will only be treated as confirmed once the relevant arrangements have been discussed and agreed with you. Any proposed date or time remains subject to availability until confirmation has been provided.
4. Assessments and Quotations
Where appropriate, we will assess the information supplied or inspect the accessible working area before preparing a quotation.
Quotations will explain the proposed work and the applicable price based on the information available at the time. Unless expressly stated otherwise, website starting prices are indicative only and are not fixed quotations.
A quotation may be affected by factors including:
- The size and condition of the area requiring waterproofing.
- The condition and suitability of the existing substrate.
- The amount of preparation and repair work required.
- Access restrictions and the presence of existing fixtures.
- The materials and waterproofing system suitable for the project.
- Any additional work identified during assessment.
Quotations are subject to the stated scope, price and validity period. If no validity period is specified, please contact us to confirm that the quotation remains available before accepting it.
5. Acceptance and Changes to the Work
Work will only proceed once you have accepted the quotation and the proposed scope and arrangements have been agreed.
If additional work becomes necessary or you request changes to the agreed scope, we will explain the proposed changes and any additional costs before proceeding wherever reasonably practicable.
Work outside the accepted quotation will not be treated as included unless it has been agreed separately.
6. Prices and Payment
Prices will be confirmed in the quotation provided for your particular project. Any applicable VAT, additional charges or other price conditions will be identified where relevant.
No payment is required simply to submit an initial enquiry or appointment request. Once the project scope and appointment arrangements have been discussed and agreed, we will provide the relevant payment details and available payment methods separately.
Payment timing and any applicable payment conditions will be explained before you commit to the work. You should follow the payment arrangements confirmed for your project.
If a payment is due and remains outstanding, we may contact you to resolve the matter. Any action taken will be subject to the agreed payment terms and applicable law.
7. Customer Responsibilities
To help us carry out the agreed work safely and efficiently, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about the property and the work required.
- Informing us of known leaks, water damage, structural issues or other relevant conditions.
- Providing safe and reasonable access to the agreed working area.
- Removing personal belongings and items that may obstruct the work, where reasonably possible.
- Ensuring that any necessary permissions for the work have been obtained.
- Informing us of relevant access restrictions, parking arrangements or property requirements before the appointment.
If access is unavailable or the working area is materially different from the information provided, the work may need to be delayed, reassessed or re-quoted.
8. Site Conditions and Work Limitations
Waterproofing work depends on the condition of the underlying surfaces and the suitability of the materials and installation methods used.
Where existing tiles, finishes, fixtures or concealed structures prevent proper inspection, the full condition of the area may not be apparent before work begins.
If concealed damage, unsuitable substrates, plumbing defects or other issues are discovered, we will discuss the available options with you. Additional repairs or specialist work may require a separate quotation.
Localised membrane repairs may not be appropriate where the surrounding waterproofing system has failed or where the underlying cause of water ingress has not been resolved.
9. Materials and Workmanship
We aim to select materials and waterproofing methods suitable for the agreed project and the condition of the working area. Products will be used in accordance with relevant manufacturer guidance where applicable.
Any specific product, material or system agreed as part of the quotation will form part of the project scope. If a substitution becomes necessary, we will discuss a suitable alternative with you before proceeding where reasonably practicable.
Any care, curing or drying instructions provided after the work should be followed before the area is covered, tiled or returned to normal use.
10. Delays and Rescheduling
We will make reasonable efforts to attend appointments and complete work within the agreed timeframe. However, delays may occasionally arise due to circumstances such as unsuitable site conditions, material availability, access problems, adverse conditions or events beyond our reasonable control.
If a delay or change to an appointment becomes necessary, we will contact you to discuss alternative arrangements.
Any cancellation or rescheduling charges must be communicated and agreed where applicable, and will be subject to your statutory rights.
11. Cancellation and Refunds
If you wish to cancel or change an agreed appointment or project, please contact us as soon as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
Where a contract is agreed at a distance or away from business premises, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The right may be subject to exceptions and specific rules, including where you request that work begins during the cancellation period.
If you ask us to begin services during a statutory cancellation period and then cancel, you may be required to pay an amount proportionate to the services supplied up to the point of cancellation, where the law permits.
Where a refund is due, it will be processed in accordance with applicable law and the agreed payment method. Statutory refund deadlines will apply where relevant.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits any cancellation, refund or other rights that you may have under UK consumer law.
12. Complaints and Defective Work
If you have concerns about the work carried out, please contact us and provide details of the issue, together with photographs where helpful.
We will review the matter and, where appropriate, arrange a discussion or inspection to understand the circumstances. If work is found not to meet the agreed requirements or applicable legal standards, we will discuss an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
Any concerns should be raised as soon as reasonably possible. This does not affect any legal rights or time limits that apply to your claim.
13. Liability
We will carry out agreed services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
We are not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, pre-existing defects, unrelated plumbing or structural issues, or work carried out by other parties, to the extent permitted by law.
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, subject to applicable consumer protections.
14. Photographs and Project Information
Photographs and information supplied through our website or during project discussions may be used to assess the requested work, prepare quotations and arrange services.
We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Photographs of your property will not be used for public marketing or promotional purposes without an appropriate legal basis and any required permission.

17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal requirements.
The version published on this website applies to new enquiries and arrangements from the time it is published. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or alter an existing agreed contract unless permitted by law or agreed with you.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your place of residence require otherwise.
Any disputes will be handled by the courts with appropriate jurisdiction, taking account of applicable consumer rights.
19. Contact and Further Information
